UN conference gearing up for make-or-break finale

World leaders “face a defining moment in history”, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said as the Copenhagen conference formally entered its high-level stage Tuesday.
I am the child
The future of mankind
With vivid dreams of a future
Encased with love, trust and faith
In the so called system
of mankind.
I am learning for it is
My birth right to seek knowledge
From every end of the world.
My parents and teachers
Always guide me through
The right path.
I have been asked to do this and that
To distinguish right from wrong
To be good to my neighbors
And Strangers alike.
At every step I am learning
and to distinguish from what is right and wrong
To be good to our neighbors and strangers alike
To share the gifts of nature with the have nots
Mama, I'm learning but at my own pace
There are times that I am confused
For I'm subjected to all types of horrendous crimes around me
I am asked to be patient
For I believe in the system of justice and law.
I never understand the hypocricy of the adult world
For they have their own set of rules
I am a CHILD
REPRESENTING the millions of children
ALL over the world
I implore and seek only one thing-from all of YOU
To practice what has been taught to us
To stop being a bully and harass the Environment
To leave behind a safe future for us
IF WE HAVE ONE!
WE can only give way to our dreams
If we have A FUTURE
IT all depends on each one of YOU
To be committed and sincere
As i have been asked to do.
